Chevrolet Corvette is going to “spawn” more interesting variants. This is as the C8 Corvette is getting further into its lifecycle. Moreover, this has already been making evident by the Z06. In fact, it will go on sale for the 2023 model year. Now, according to a new report, there is an exact date for when the MY2023 Corvettes (regular and Z06) will then begin production.
Chevrolet Corvette – Corvette Action Center
This is a memo is being sent out from Chevrolet. It will go to dealers that do list key dates for 2022 and 2023 Corvette production.
In fact, the first important date is March 21. That is when the 2023 Corvette dealer order guide is expecting to be releasing. The next one that is important is March 24, which is when the dealerships are going to be able to enter MY2023 orders into GM’s system. Also, on that same day, the online configurator for the 2023 car is going to go live so that potential buyers can spec out their build (a configurator for the Z06) is already up. However, it does not include any pricing information. Then, finally, a production of the 2023 Corvette is going to begin on May 9, right after the 2022 model ends production on May 6.
The Corvette Action Center’s report is mentioning how the dealer allocations for the car are going to likely work. There will not supposedly be a separate Z06 allocation process. Also, they will be lumping in with the same Average Daily Supply (ADS) allocation model. It will be using for the regular Corvette. Moreover, this model is going to take into account a dealer’s average daily sales rates in order to then determine how many days’ worth of inventory they do have. Also, subsequently, determine how many Z06’s they are going to likely receive.
